FAQs
What is MASN?
The Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN) is a regional sports network owned by the Baltimore Orioles and Washington Nationals that provides fans with unmatched access to both teams and to local sports programming. MASN carries over 160 Orioles games and over 160 Nationals games live every season, as well as exclusive pre-game and post-game shows for every game. No other network in the country televises as many MLB games.
MASN also televises more than 200 NCAA Division I men's and women's basketball games, and more than 40 NCAA Division I football games, featuring the best of the Big East, CAA and other top conferences. MASN is also the Official Cable Sports Network of the Baltimore Ravens, carrying primetime NFL programming throughout the fall.
How can MASN televise both the Orioles and Nationals games when the teams are playing at the same time?
MASN televises 320 Nationals and Orioles games. When both teams are playing simultaneously, a second MASN channel (MASN 2) will carry the other game. The Nationals and Orioles will alternate between MASN and MASN2 all season long. All of the high definition broadcasts are available on MASN HD.
What channel is MASN on?
You can find channel listings based on your location and provider here.
Where can I find your schedule?
Our schedule for the current month is always available on the left column of our website, available here. Please remember that because we broadcast over 600 live games every year, our schedule is always subject to change.
Where can I find MASN's spring training schedule?
You can click here and scroll to the bottom of the "MASN Announces Nationals and Orioles Television Schedules with HD Every Day of the Season" Press Release to find the complete Nationals and Orioles spring training schedule.
Why don't you air my favorite NCAA team's games?
MASN has a robust lineup of regional NCAA football including local favorites like West Virginia, Villanova, Pittsburgh, Marshall, Rutgers, Lafayette, VMI and Lehigh. As you may know, MASN's viewing territory includes all or parts of six states and the District of Columbia, from Harrisburg, PA to Charlotte, NC. The network is committed to televising local NCAA programming from colleges and universities throughout our regional territory.
The marketplace for televised sports rights is very competitive. MASN is proud of our partnerships with Georgetown, George Mason, UNC Wilmington, the Colonial Athletic Association, the Big South Conference, and the Big East Conference. However, some college conferences and local teams have existing television rights deals with other networks that pre-date MASN's 24/7 launch. MASN is always looking to expand our lineup of local collegiate sports programming and will pursue such programming as it becomes available.
Can I purchase DVDs of games?
Unfortunately, MASN cannot sell or reproduce copies of games or of our shows.
Where can I find out more about internships or jobs at MASN?

How do I get a autographed photo of my favorite MASN announcer?
Unfortunately, we cannot accept requests for autographs for our talent team. However, each of our announcers regularly make appearances in the community. In fact, we often broadcast Nats Xtra and O's Xtra live from Nationals Park and Camden Yards. Feel free to stop by to watch the show and say hello to your favorite announcers.
Can I send a MASN announcer a question or comment?
Not at this time, but we would encourage you to submit comments to their blogs. Most of our talent host their own blogs on MASNSports.com.

What is MY MASN?
MY MASN is an online social network site where you can interact with other sports fans, start a blog, post videos and pictures and discuss your team's latest news. You can visit the site and register for a free account by clicking here.
Why are there blackouts of my favorite team sometimes?
Major League Baseball does impose blackout regulations on Orioles and Nationals games if a viewer tries to watch the game on an alternative channel or using MLB.TV when they live within MASN's viewing territory.
Also, due to NFL restrictions, MASN can only carry Ravens pre-season games and nightly programming. The preseason games are only available to a selected Ravens designated territory within MASN's footprint.
When will my operator carry MASN HD?
While most of MASN's cable and satellite affiliates do carry the HD games, the decision is made by each distributor.
You can reach Verizon customer service at 1-888-553-1555.
You could reach Dish Network by calling 1-888-284-7116.
When will Time Warner Cable carry MASN?
Two separate independent arbitrators have found Time Warner Cable guilty of discrimination against MASN. On October 30, 2008, the FCC's Media Bureau upheld those decisions upon an additional review requested by Time Warner. Both the second arbitrator and the Media Bureau have ordered Time Warner to begin carrying MASN to its North Carolina customers immediately.
Unfortunately, on November 26, 2008, Time Warner Cable appealed to the full Federal Communications Commission the FCC Media Bureau's order. Time Warner's appeal will delay carriage of MASN, and deny local NCAA football and basketball, and Major League Baseball to millions of Carolinians.
MASN wants nothing more than to return Major League Baseball to North Carolina. We are ready to provide MASN's signal to Time Warner. That is why your continued efforts to contact the company directly are still important.
What can I do to convince my cable company to carry MASN?
You can use the tools available on the www.PlayBallNow.org take action page to tell your cable company, your local elected officials, the FCC, and your local media and talk radio hosts that you want sports on MASN! Your cable company - as well as our elected leaders - need to hear from their customers and constituents that we want sports.
