Ravens Introduce New Head Coach
During a Saturday afternoon press conference carried live on MASN, former Philadelphia Eagles secondary coach John Harbaugh was officially introduced as the third head coach in Ravens' history, ending a search that lasted 18 days and made a winner out of a darkhorse candidate.
Harbaugh, the brother of former NFL quarterback Jim Harbaugh, was introduced to the local media at a noon press conference at the Owings Mills complex. He was joined by owner Steve Bisciotti, president Dick Cass and general manager Ozzie Newsome.

"This was fairly easy for me because I've done this my whole life," Bisciotti said of the decision to select Harbaugh. "Hiring people is something I've had a lot of experience doing. I also had the luxury of a blueprint that Mr. (Art) Modell put together nine years ago in finding Brian Billick."
Harbaugh replaces Billick, who was fired Dec. 31 after nine seasons with the team that included a Super Bowl victory over the New York Giants in 2001.
"I've been a fan of this organization since I was a kid because of my dad, growing up in Ohio," Harbaugh said. "This is a dream of ours that we've had for a long time and I can't wait to get started.
"I know a first-class organization when I see one because I've seen one the last 10 years in Philadelphia."
