The Day After: Game Two Notebook
Last night's dramatic, season opening, walk-off home run by Ryan Zimmerman that gave the Nationals a 3-2 win over the Braves, must be short lived.
The Nats must now turn their attention to the defending NL East Champion Phillies.
Yes, the clubhouse was joyous, yes, everyone was still talking about how in awe they are of what the young third baseman is doing, but this is a long season and last night is in the past and today is what the Nats are focusing on.

Lefty Matt Chico will take the mound against RHP Brett Myers. Game time is scheduled for 3:05pm. Only mother nature knows for sure is the game will be played.
The forecast calls for 34 degrees and rain. Last season Chico led MLB all rookie left-handed starters in wins, with 7 and led the NL rookie pitchers in starts and innings. He is 1-0, 4.22 ERA in 2 career starts at Citizens Bank Park.
Myers, who spent most of the season in the bullpen for the Phillies, gets his second straight opening day start for manager Charlie Manuel. Myers made just three starts last year before moving to closer, where he saved 21 of 24 games.
