Nationals rested and ready to roll
For the first time since the 1962, a Washington baseball team is starting the season 2-0.
Let's all hope this team doesn't follow suit because the Senators wound up dropping their next 13 games and lost a total of 101. Only time will tell, but looking what this team has achieved in their first two wins, I doubt history will repeat itself.
Wednesday's Match-Up: 7:00pm on MASN (Nats XTRA at 6:30pm)
RHP Tim Redding (3-6, 3.64 in '07) vs. LHP Cole Hamels (15-5, 3.99 in '07)
Thursday's Match-Up: 1:00pm on MASN (Nats XTRA at 12:30pm)
RHP Jason Bergmann (6-6, 4.45 in '07) vs. LHP Jamie Moyer (14-12, 5.01in '07)

The Nationals bullpen has blown late innings leads in both games but the offense has picked them up.
Sunday night, Jon Rauch, blew a save opportunity when he threw a wild pitch, officially scored a passed ball by Paul LoDuca, that allowed Atlanta to tie the game in the top of the 9th. Ryan Zimmerman made a winner of Rauch with his walk-off homer.
Yesterday, behind starter Matt Chico, the Nationals built a 6-3 lead going into the 7th, before Joel Hanrahan and Ray King let the Phillies back in it. That didn't seem to bother this year's Nats. With Phils closer, Tom Gordon, on the mound in the 9th, the Nationals broke the game open by scoring 5 times en route to the 11-6 win.
Momentum is a very powerful thing and with today a scheduled off day, let's hope is doesn't stop this team from starting 3-0.
