Nats fall to Mets, 6-3; Church drives in 4

Ryan Church single handedly beat his former team. He drove in 4 runs on a home run and a double. His home run, 8th of the year, tied the game at 2-2 in the 3rd. Church's 2-run double broke the tie and gave the Mets a 4-2 lead, one they wouldn't relinquish.

The Nats offense managed only 4 hits and just two off starter John Maine. Maine have given up 2 runs or less in 7 straight starts.

Nationals (16-23) at New York (19-17)
The Nationals offense broke out last night in the 10-4 win over the Mets. In the 5th & 6th innings, the team went 5-9 with runners in scoring position and scored 7 runs. The Nationals got 7 of thier 10 hits and drew 4 of their season-high 7 walks in those two innings. Tonight they look to continue this trend and win their second straight over New York.

John Lannan takes the mound and tries to go over the .500 mark for the first time this season. He'll be opposed by John Maine.
