Acta, Lo Duca address team
Prior to taking batting practice on Wednesday, Manny Acta held a team meeting, which lasted about 35 minutes, to clear the air and get a few things off his chest. Acta wanted the team to "do the little things."
Acta expressed the importance of playing smarter, better defense and being focused on the field. He told the team that their defensive play was sloppy and they made too many mental mistakes.
Veteran Paul Lo Duca also spoke to his teammates, and he too had some things to get off his chest.
Wednesday night the Nationals did the little things and beat one of the best teams in all of baseball. Will Acta and Lo Duca's message have a lasting effect? Only time will tell.
