Draft Selection - Media Advisory
The Washington Nationals will host a Press Conference on Thursday announcing their first-round selection (ninth overall pick) in Major League Baseball's First-Year Player Draft. The Press Conference will begin at 2:30 pm and will include availability with the following:
* Jim Bowden, Senior Vice President & General Manager
* Mike Rizzo, Vice President of Baseball Operations & Assistant General Manager
* Bob Boone, Vice President of Player Development & Assistant General Manager
* Dana Brown, Director of Scouting
* Player Selected (via telephone conference call)
Please note, media will be able to follow the first round of the draft live by television in the Press Conference Room. Wireless Internet will also be available in the room.
Select Baseball Operations executives will address media again in the Press Conference Room following the conclusion of the first day of the Draft, at roughly 9 pm.
Due to the ongoing nature of the Draft, one-on-one interviews will not be possible.
