Medical Updates for Ryan Zimmerman and Matt Chico
Ryan Zimmerman was examined by Dr. Timothy Kremchek this morning in Cincinnati (OH). He confirmed that Zimmerman has a small tear in the anterior labrum (left non-throwing shoulder) and has some mild cuff weakness. Zimmerman will continue his treatment and rehab plan for the next 4-6 weeks until feels no pain and has regained his strength completely.
Matt Chico was examined by Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham (AL), who confirmed that he has significant ossification of his ulnar collateral ligament and loose bodies in the back of his left throwing elbow. He recommended rest and rehab for the next six weeks.
