Orioles Minor League Wrap-Up 6/4/08
Three Delmarva Shorebirds, coach Ramon Sambo, RHP Sean Gleason and OF Joseph Nowicki, have been selected to participate in the 49th Annual South Atlantic League All-Star Game in Greensboro, N.C. on June 17.
Gleason (2-0, 2.03) started the season for the Shorebirds in the bullpen before making the transition into the starting rotation on May 2. He has given up just 11 earned runs in 48.2 innings pitched and has started six games for Delmarva through June 2.
Nowicki is batting .316 with 18 doubles, three triples, eight home runs, 34 RBI and 27 runs scored in 54 games with the Shorebirds this season. He owns a 14-game hit streak entering Tuesday.
Sambo is in his first year as manager for the Shorebirds. He has guided Delmarva to a 32-24 record, 1.5 games out of first place, entering June 3.

Starter RHP Zach Clark earned his 1st win of the season going 6.1 innings and allowing three runs on six hits. He had three strikeouts.
RHP Greg Aquino pitched an inning to earn his fifth save of the season.
DH Mike Costanzo went 3-for-4 with a HR and three RBI.
