Orioles Place LHP Jamie Walker on 15-Day Disabled List
The Orioles today announced that they have placed LHP JAMIE WALKER on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to June 26 with left elbow inflammation. The team has also returned LHP ADAM LOEWEN from his rehab assignment and activated him from the DL.
Walker has pitched in 37 games for the Orioles this season, going 1-0 with a 4.98 ERA (21.2IP, 28H, 12ER). He made his 500th career appearance on June 22.
Loewen allowed one earned run in 9.2 innings pitched (0.93 ERA) over nine games in rehab assignments with Single-A Frederick and Double-A Bowie. He went 0-1 with a 7.85 ERA (18.1IP, 16ER) in 4 starts in April for the Orioles before going on the disabled list with left elbow soreness on April 25.
