Thanksgiving in June
The Nationals will host the 3rd Annual Thanksgiving in June Food Collection during these 3 games and all non-perishable food collected like canned food, rice, and pasta will benefit the Capital Area Food Bank. Come out and enjoy a great day at the ballpark June 20th-22nd as the Washington Nationals take on the Texas Rangers and do something good at the same time!
- June is National Hunger Awareness Month
- The Capital Area Food Bank has been serving the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area for over 27 years.
- The Capital Area Food Bank serves 383,000 residents each year through a network of over 700 partner agencies.
- The Capital Area Food Bank serves over 1.6 million meals each month.
- Last year, the Capital Area Food Bank distributed nearly 20 million pounds of food including 6 million pounds of fresh produce.
