Bernadina demoted, Langerhans recalled
Rookie outfielder Roger Bernadina was sent down to Triple-A Columbus today and the Nationals called-up outfielder Ryan Langerhans.
Bernadina struggled at the plate since being promoted from Double-A Harrisburg on June 28th. In 10 games, he was batting just .125, only five hits in 40 at bats, and scored two runs. Bernadina struck out 12 times and was 0-2 in stolen base attempts.
Except for a fielding error on Tuesday night, Bernadina played pretty solid defense in centerfield.
