Cordero is a class act, and maybe still a National in 2009?

Apology Accepted.

It was really great to see Chad Cordero visiting with Bob Carpenter and Ray Knight Saturday night in his hometown Los Angeles. Like me, weren't you waiting to see how Chad looked, how he talked?

Chad was Chad: his positive, ebullient self, and he remained optimistic about his quick recovery and his return to the Nats in Spring Training.

Now we don't know if that is coaching by his agent to come off as above all the recent talks, but it does make you feel good to have Chad Cordero as a Washington National; and if you know Chad, you have to feel he was and still is Chad, a genuine person, the real deal, what you see is what you get.

They really should resign this pitcher. He can pitch; he can get batters out; and he is a class act. Jim Bowden did apologize to Chad and his agent Larry Reynolds which may have a lot to do with the possibility of Cordero returning to the Nats in 2009.

I would expect Cordero to test the waters, though. He has every right. But from the way Cordero talked last night, it appears the Nats still have a chance to get their all-time saves leader back.

Lets hope this is the case.
