If only they'd thought of it sooner...

A funny story from Saturday's extra-inning win over the Tigers. As we all saw, Luke Scott hit the walk-off homer. As he approached home plate, he bowled his helmet toward his awaiting teammates.
Well, the next day, Dennis Sarfate was very upset that he failed to think of this before the homer: The rest of the team should have acted like bowling pins and fallen over.
He was very animated in the clubhouse when he said, "Next time Luke, you bowl the helmet and we'll all fall over in unison---bam---we'd be on SportsCenter for the next 3 years."
That would have been pretty funny. The fact that everyone in the clubhouse was so 100-percent in agreement with the planned choreography was even funnier.

great now the rays r gonna beat us to it!! way to let the cat outta the bag amber gosh;-)
I actually thought that's what they were going to do! When I saw Luke "bowl" his helmet, and the way everyone was standing, I just knew it was coming. I think everybody was just so happy with the walk-off that nobody really thought about it at the time. And then, I don't know if everybody knew Luke was going to bowl his helmet like that.
I actually don't mind staying up late for nights like that.
