Flacco, Ravens OK 5-year deal [Baltimore Sun]
Baltimore Ravens first-round pick Joe Flacco signed his rookie contract Thursday, shortly after agreeing to a deal in principle late Wednesday night.
He is the second of the Ravens' draft picks to sign this year, following third-round pick and offensive tackle Oniel Cousins.
The contract could be worth up to $30 million with $8.75 million guaranteed for the 18th overall pick in the 2008 NFL Draft.
Flacco will now report to training camp in time to compete with quarterbacks Kyle Boller and Troy Smith for the starting nod in the season-opener on September 7.
