Nationals Host Gospel Music Fest Postgame Concert
WHAT:
The Washington Nationals will host Gospel Music Fest, a postgame concert
following the Nationals contest vs. the Cincinnati Reds at 1:35pm on Sunday,
August 3. The family-oriented music festival will showcase song selections and
performances by soloist Chelsea Fobbs, and gospel choirs from Community of
Hope A.M.E. Church, Ebenezer A.M.E. Church, Reid Temple A.M.E. Church
and St. Mark's Church. WRPS-FM PRAISE 104.1 radio veteran Robin Bredon
will act as the event's emcee.
All fans attending Sunday afternoon's game are welcome to stay for the postgame
concert. Nationals highlights will be shown on the scoreboard, the Strike Zone
and jungle gym areas will be open and children under 12 may participate in Kids
Run the Bases, while the concert is being set up. Center Field concessions and
Ben's Chili Bowl will remain open throughout the afternoon's event.
