Ravens Training Camp: More Trouble on the O-Line
The Ravens' already thin offensive line took another hit earlier today, as offensive tackle Adam Terry went down with a leg injury.
The injury looked to be serious, as Terry was screaming in pain while down on the field. He was carted off and was on crutches at the team hotel.
Terry becomes the second offensive lineman to go down this week, as projected starting left tackle Jared Gaither injured his ankle this weekend. The injuries are magnified by the offseason retirement of 11-time Pro Bowl tackle Jonathan Ogden.
Terry's injury looked like it occurred on his left ankle, which is the same one he had surgically-repaired in the off-season. With him out, Mike Kracalik took over at left tackle, and rookie Oniel Cousins stepped in at right tackle.
As it stands right now, the inexperience of the offensive line looks like a major issue. Kracalik has spent the last two seasons on the practice squad, and while the coaches seem excited about Cousins' potential, the third-round pick still has lots of learning to do.
Ed Reed has still not taken part in full practices. Today was the fifth day in a row that he has been off to the side working on his footwork. The coaching staff has not given a timetable for his return.
Also missing today's practice were running backs P.J. Daniels and Cory Ross, fullback Justin Green, linebacker Dan Cody, wideout Demetrius Williams, defensive tackle Haloti Ngata, and Gaither.
Ngata was diagnosed was a sprained MCL in his right knee. He is day-to-day.
