Andy MacPhail Interview
George Sherrill was put on the 15-day DL today with left shoulder imflammation. He had an MRI earlier today. The O's are hopeful he can be back when his DL time is up. The MRI did not find any major problems at all, just inflammation.
Sherrill picked up his 31st save August 5th and has not pitched in a save situation since. He had 26 saves in the first 76 games and just 5 in the last 49 contests. On the year he is 3-5, 4.47.
A telling comment from Andy MacPhail tonight when asked how much the club considers Bowie's playoff run in terms of possibly calling up Baysox players he said, "Bowie is here to serve Baltimore. It's hard to deny a player an opportunity to come to the big leagues."
