B-Rob's B-Log: Brian on his personal goals, where he'd play if not at 2B, and his favorite game at the ESPN Zone
| | Comments (14)

On another Tuesday afternoon at Camden Yards, Brian Roberts took his seat on the dugout to check in with his fans. This week, he touches on the state of the O's and his own personal goals as the season starts to wind down, as well as the excitement of September call-ups.

He also answers fan questions about how often he gets to see his family duing the busy baseball season, what position he played before being moved to second base and where he'd want to play if he didn't play 2B.

He even reveals his favorite game at the ESPN Zone and opens a challenge to Jeremy Guthrie and anyone else at his Baseball Bash on September 14.

Don't forget to submit your questions for Brian in the comment box below, and check back next week to see if B-Rob answered your question in his next O's blog!

Hi Brian If you were the general Manager, how would you fix the team so that they would be competitive?

Hey!!
My friend and I were talking over aim, cause shes in Raleigh nad I'm in Lutherville, tonight and last night about how her and I and another friend are going to try out for the Orioles. The two in Raleigh would be pitchers and myself either 3rd or 1st. If that were possible, how would you and the others feel about playing professional baseball with three young women?

But I was also thinking of becoming the next athletic trainer for the team, so tell the athletic director to be on the watch! haha

See you and the rest of the guys on Tuesday!
For the 4th time, Becky from Lutherville!
(I can't help thinking of new things to ask!)

Dear Mr. Roberts,

Why no blog this week? I know you guys as a whole team haven't been doing so well, but all of us O's fans know you guys have it in you! Good Luck, play your hardest as always!

Love Leila NC (again! I'm a huge fan)

Hey again Brian,

I found a 2004 Orioles Magazine with Javy Lopez on the front. I was going through it and saw the page with the type of bats everyone was using that year.

Do you still use a Rawlings (my favorite for gloves) maple, model MMM06, with a Y cup 33" weighing 31 oz with a clear lacquer finish?

See you on September 5th and my friend and I are leaving TU at 1230-1 on the 9th! I really want my Roberts shirt! (so I'll be sitting at the gates doing school work haha)

Hey Bip,
Awhile back my friend and I were at the beach, we got really bored on a rainy day and made a huge list of questions for you. But to save time heres a few of them.

What's the funniest thing you have ever heard a fan say to you?

Why don't you and Melvin do you hand shanke, with your gloves on your heads anymore?

Who's your best friend on the team?

What's is your dream vacation?

Thanks Brian! Becky from Lutherville, MD

P.s. like Leila said there are facebook groups dedicated to you (im in some..lol) and also my friend ALaina and I challenge you and Nick to a game of badmitten! well be at the gates early on the 9th, come find us!

Who is the most difficult pitcher for you to face and why is he so difficult?

Zoey Brown said:

Hey Brian
I was wondering if you are going to watch the playoffs and since we wont be in it this year (hopefully next!) , is there another team that you are going to root for? Since Tampa Bay has such an inspirational story, are you going to root for them even though they are in our league? I know I am. Thanks so much!

P.S. i think that you are an amazing player and an amazing person!

What impact did your father have on your decision to persue professional baseball? Was he more of a coach or just a supportive parent?

Leila Jinnah said:

What is your favorite memory from the minor leagues?

Kelly from Willow Street, Pa said:

Hey Brian! My mom and I were wondering what is the funniest prank you have ever seen played in the clubhouse. I'm sure with characters like Aubrey and Kevin something is always going on. Your my favorite baseball player!

Becky (Brain's #1 Fan) said:

Hey Brian!

Since your bash is coming up, which is such a wonderful thing, I was if you ever got traded, would you still come back to Baltimore and have you baseball bash?

Cause I don't have enough money for a ticket, and I would really love to go next year and so on.

Becky from Lutherville, MD

P.S My friend and I would love to play badmitten against you and Nick sometime...you game?
