Down on the farm
Single-A Delmarva committed five errors tonight, raising its season total to 198, most in the South Atlantic League. Second baseman Ryan Adams, batting .309, had two more miscues to break a tie with Orioles third base coach Juan Samuel and give him a league-record 52.
There will be no ceremony in his honor.
Sean Gleason allowed five runs, but only two earned, and eight hits in five innings.
Triple-A Norfolk reliever Kam Mickolio allowed a run and two hits in one inning tonight. He threw 31 pitches.
Double-A Bowie outfielder Nolan Reimold homered in Game 1 of a doubleheader and went 3-for-3 with a double and RBI in Game 2. Mike Rodriguez hit a three-run homer in the nightcap, and David Hernandez picked up his 10th win despite allowing three runs and six hits in five innings.
Matt Wieters served as the designated hitter in both games. And I don't know why.
Single-A Frederick's Brandon Snyder belted a solo homer. Tim Bascom allowed three earned runs in seven innings, with one walk and five strikeouts, and didn't get a decision.

Good to see snyder seem to start figuring it out. Hes still only 21. Rowell is 19 still, so just remain patient with the kid.
Dear Orioles,
Please show some heart. I realize that you won't make the playoffs this year, but you should be able to win a game when you go up by 4 runs or more. Please do not revert to the league-wide punchline that you have become over the past ten years. Can one of the pitchers 2-5 show something? If not, next year will be just as bad. Guthrie, Cabrera, Liz, Burres, Olson (Waters, Bergeson, Patton, etc) is not a winning rotation. Should we bother watching next year? We'll be fortunate to repeat this mediocre performance. Good luck Bowie!
why is brandon snyder still in single a? he should have been called up to bowie months ago.
