Minor updates
Craig Anderson allowed one run in 6 1/3 innings for Triple-A Norfolk, and Jeff Fiorentino and Luis Hernandez had back-to-back RBI doubles in the fifth. Norfolk is leading Charlotte, 3-1, in the seventh.
First baseman Brandon Snyder is 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored for Single-A Frederick, and four relievers have combined on a one-hitter through seven innings. Starter Jake Renshaw was scratched and placed on the disabled list, so Brett Bordes made his first career start and threw two hitless innings. The Keys are defeating Lynchburg, 5-0, in the eighth.
Sean Gleason is bearing down on his 12th win in 13 decisions for Single-A Delmarva. He's allowed one run and three hits in six innings, though he's walked five. The Shorebirds lead Lakewood, 7-1, in the seventh.
My guess has always been DCab has a sore arm . This would mean some inflammation or the like...anybody who has had one knows what I mean. The only thing that helps is rest, and that is what he should get. If he can regain his velocity and movement , he will be a good 4th pitcher next year. Unless he develops another pitch , that is all he will be. But he has to throw the fastball for strikes first and he made some ground toward that this year.
I see a run scored on a balk. Second time this year (Sarfate dropped the ball). I do not see the game, but I wonder why he is not throwing out of the windup with two out? Or, was he?
