Mock gets spot start Monday

Nationals Manager Manny Acta said before Friday's game against Milwaukee that he was "leaning" towards giving Garrett Mock the start Monday against the Brewers in the series finale.
Mock was available to throw out of the bullpen Friday and pitched 1 inning allowing no runs, no hits, 2 walks and a strikeout.
Garrett said before the game that he has started recently in late July for Columbus against Pawtucket and is sufficiently stretched out. Mock was 0-2 in a pair of starts earlier this season for the Nats, but now has had 4 straight relief appearances with 4.0 scoreless innings.
Mock said he would "be ready to (start)" and "whatever the boss says, I do." Odalis Perez will pitch on Tuesday night when the Nationals return home to host the New York Mets.
