Before I dive into a little more Dave Trembley, I suggest that you check out Steve Melewski's interview with team president Andy MacPhail, which took place on the field during batting practice. Go to MASNsports.com - wait, you're already here - and it'll be posted.

The player-to-be-named in the Chad Bradford deal is likely to be a lower-level minor leaguer, not someone who is expected to compete for a spot on the 2009 Opening Day roster.

Trembley left open the possibility that Double-A Bowie's Brad Bergesen could join the Orioles before the season ends, but he reminded us that Chris Tillman will not be pitching in the majors this year. That point was made very clear in spring training, but some people keep pushing for it.

Trembley isn't ready to discuss September call-ups, saying that topic hasn't been addressed internally. Most certainly, Triple-A Norfolk relievers Bob McCrory and Kam Mickolio are on the club's radar.

Rocky Cherry is being viewed mostly as a one- or two-inning reliever here, though he's gone three innings at Norfolk.

Nothing new on Adam Jones. The Orioles expect him to be on crutches for three weeks before he undergoes another CT scan and the club decides whether he's ready to resume baseball-related activities. I still say they should shut him down, but nobody is asking my opinion.

It's okay, Roch. Your opinion is always accepted by me, and I will always ask your opinion. So don't feel like you're alone like Aaron Rodgers.

This just in, Reds hire Bill Bavasi as a special assistant to Walt Jocketty. Tell AM to get on the phone!
