Nationals option INF Kory Casto to Columbus
Following tonight's series opener at Philadelphia's Citizens Bank Park, the Washington Nationals optioned infielder Kory Casto to Columbus of the Triple-A International League. Nationals Senior Vice President and General Manager Jim Bowden made the announcement.
Casto, 26, hit .193 (22-for-114) with seven doubles, one homer, 10 RBI and 16 walks in 49 games with Washington this season.
