Orioles Place LHP George Sherill on 15-Day Disabled List
The Orioles announced Tuesday that they have placed LHP GEORGE SHERRILL on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to August 16, with inflammation of the left shoulder.
Sherrill, an All-Star in his first year with the Orioles, went 3-5 with a 4.47 ERA (50.1IP, 25ER) with 31 saves in 53 games for the Orioles.
A corresponding roster move will be announced Wednesday to fill Sherrill's roster spot.
