OriolesREACH and Brian Roberts Host 3rd Annual Brian's Baseball Bash
OriolesREACH and 2B BRIAN ROBERTS will host the third annual Brian's Baseball Bash fundraising event benefiting the University of Maryland Hospital for Children at the ESPN Zone in the Inner-Harbor on Sunday, September 14 from 6:30-9:30 p.m.
Fans are invited to join Roberts and other Orioles players for an evening of food, fun, games and more while raising support for UMHC patients and their families. The night will feature opportunities to play games with Roberts and Orioles players, silent auctions, Orioles giveaways and autographs for those who attend the event.
"When I began my relationship with the hospital it was on a very personal basis, and this event has enabled me to be involved on a much greater level," Roberts said. "This is something that is close to my heart and I enjoy being around kids, and to combine the two is amazing. To be a part of it is both humbling and inspiring."
Last year's event raised more than $200,000 for UMHC. Roberts, a committed supporter and regular visitor to patients at UMHC, underwent open-heart surgery at the age of five.
