Ravens PSL Wait List Sold Out; PSL Marketplace Expanded
After continued strong demand, the Baltimore Ravens' PSL Wait List ("The List") is sold out.
"It is very exciting that so many people in our community want to make the commitment to the Ravens through the purchase of PSLs and season tickets. The List provides a great opportunity for fans to become part of an exclusive group that is first in line to purchase available PSLs directly from the Ravens," said Baker Koppelman, the Ravens' Vice President of Ticket Sales & Operations.
Ravens PSLs (Permanent Seat Licenses) reached a sold-out status in 2004, but other fans continued to inquire about buying season tickets. The Ravens then created The List as the official Baltimore Ravens PSL wait list, to give interested buyers the first opportunity to purchase sold-out PSLs directly from the Ravens when they become available. As originally announced two years ago, The List was capped at the current 3,000 members. All members of The List pay initial and annual deposits that are applied towards eventual purchase of PSLs and season tickets. Applications for The List will still be accepted from fans looking to join when positions become available.
PSL AND WAIT LIST MARKETPLACE
In 2007, the Ravens partnered with SeasonTicketRights.com, LLC to create the PSL Marketplace, which gave Ravens fans another avenue to purchase sold out PSLs from other Ravens fans. The PSL Marketplace provides a safe and easy environment for Ravens fans to buy and sell PSLs. To date, over $4 million worth of Ravens PSLs have been sold through the PSL Marketplace.
Because of the increased demand for Ravens PSLs and The List, the Ravens are now offering Ravens fans the opportunity to buy and sell their positions on The List through the Ravens PSL Marketplace. The Wait List Marketplace is believed to be the first-ever official online marketplace for wait list positions.
This option will give Ravens fans even more ways to become a Ravens PSL Owner:
1. Joining The List - Although The List is currently full, fans are still able to apply to become a member. As wait list members at the top of the list purchase PSLs from the Ravens, positions will then be made available. Yearly, applicants will be randomly selected from the pool of applicants to join The List and become one of its 3,000 members.
2. Purchasing a position on The List from another list member on the PSL Marketplace - With the addition of wait list positions on the PSL Marketplace, interested parties can purchase a high and seemingly valuable spot on The List from a current member who is looking to sell his/her position.
3. Purchasing PSLs from a current Ravens PSL owner on the PSL Marketplace - For fans who would rather not wait, the option exists to go directly to the PSL Marketplace and make an offer on the PSL location of your choice. This system also offers current PSL owners an opportunity to upgrade their current seats and a safe and secure place to sell a PSL.
