Suggs, Heap, others return to practice
Terrell Suggs was back on the practice field today, ending his 23-day absence from the Ravens; and he wasn't the only one returning to action.
Tight ends Todd Heap and Daniel Wilcox; cornerbacks Chris McAlister, Samari Rolle and David Pittman; offensive tackle Adam Terry; defensive tackle Haloti Ngata; and linebacker Tavares Gooden all were back with the team after missing time due to injuries.

After an interesting offseason of negotiations with the Ravens, Suggs finally signed his franchise tag tender, which will pay him $8.5 million as a defensive end/linebacker. The two-time Pro Bowler will likely play about 15 snaps in Saturday's preseason game against the St. Louis Rams and then sit out the preseason finale to be ready for the regular season opener on Sept. 7.
Head coach John Harbaugh said that while Suggs is in good physical condition, he's not quite in football shape yet.
"You could tell [when he tried] the change of direction and burst," Harbaugh said. "But he was competing and fighting. He'll probably be a little sore tomorrow, but he's in good shape."
