Update on Jones (updated again)
Sources have confirmed that the Orioles placed Adam Jones on the disabled list with a fractured left foot.
Lou Montanez didn't make that trip to Anaheim for nothing. He's been added to the 25-man roster and could make his major league debut tonight.
Brian Roberts reacts to the breaking news that Adam Jones has a fractured left foot

Roch,
Only on MASN to read you! Please say you will not be forced to cover the Nats and hopefully you got a nice bump in pay to replace that car you have been talking about for the last couple years. Why no Reimold? Will he be a Sept. call up?
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Jones was starting to play so well, and now this injury happens. I just hope this injury doesn't effect Jones's career, and how well he's played. The Orioles need a young great player like Jones. Lou better be good or the Orioles will never be back in the playoff race.
"He's pitched lights out all year and is being wasted in his current roll as setup guy. Night after night. Wasted."
Except the part where closers are overated and the way he is used he probably gets more appearences in key situations of the game then Sherrill does.
The O's manager likes a structured bullpen, if JJ gets moved into the closer role it will hurt the team. Let Sherrill come in with the bases empty and a three run lead and collect the save.
Sorry, Adam. We all certainly enjoyed watching you improve and grow as a player this year. You are a real bright spot in the future of the Baltimore Orioles. We all look forward to seeing you flagging down fly balls in CF for years to come. I can't believe you tried to talk Trembley into letting you play the past couple of nights.
Here's some tips on navigating the MASN site;
1. When it doesn't remember your personal information, just type it in again. It only takes me a couple of seconds and I can't type.
2. Who needs the RSS feed when you can just open the home page, scroll down a line or 2 and click on Roch's picture that everyone makes fun of (good for a chuckle every time), then watch all kinds of stuff pop up.
3. If you want to read all the posts from earliest to latest, just scroll all the way to the bottom, then read up. Sounds tough, but in no time at all it'll be automatic.
And once again, for the record, I'm with JPA on the Jim Johnson issue.
He's pitched lights out all year and is being wasted in his current roll as setup guy. Night after night. Wasted.
Waters gose 7 if Lou play's he'll hold his own.
A fractured left foot can go from mild to severe. Let's hope it's justa a Stress Fracture. They can heal in a few days, although it's one of those injuries that never quite goes away it just comes back once in awhile. I know from experience (3 flare ups in 10 years-of course I'm not a MLB CF)
Roch, do you know if it's going to be the 60 day or 15 day DL?

15 for now. - Roch
Too bad about Jones. He was rounding into form quite well.
Welcome Lou and show everyone why I thought you should have been called up earlier.
As for the Waters prediction. 4 innings 4 runs. But I'm hoping I'm wrong. Tough team to face.
Hey Roch, what's taking the O's so long to make an announcement? It's not a state secret that Jones is hurt.
LLLOOOUUUUU!!
Wow --- he was finally in a groove and this happened. Hope it doesn't make the bad hip pop sooner.
Let's hope Lou can check on your posts between innings. We'll all want to congratulate him on his first major league home run.
Bad timing. Jones was really starting to play extremely well.
To answer your Waters prediction, I'm going to go with 6. He's been hot the last month. Of course he has never faced a lineup as good as the Angels; but I'm going to be optimistic here.
