Updating Ray and Sherrill
MASN's Amber Theoharis tells me that the Orioles won't activate Chris Ray next month when rosters expand. He's made tremendous progress, but it won't carry him to the Camden Yards mound in September.
George Sherrill was supposed to throw today, but he was too sore after his last round of playing catch. That will back up the date when he's activated.
Shut Sherrill down for the year. Might as well, everybody else is. Then figure out the bullpen in ST. There are certainly enough candidates, even if AMac doesn't pull off any more steals.
You know, it always looks like Sherrill should have one less "
R" or one less "L" in his name, but who am I to judge? I'm posting on a blog, that give me the right. So shoot me.
L.A Angels are looking for a backup SS, on the list is Castro among others.
Why not give JJ the tba spot. i'd like to see him start, with sherill coming back and the rosters expanding we've got plenty of relievers

I enjoyed the pre-game show, especially when Marilyn interviewed Uncle Festus about our new pitching rotation plan.

I agree with tvdpdx, shut Sherrill down for the season. With our starters, he isn't going to have any games to save anyway. Plus, I've got to believe that his arm problems are more serious than the O's front office is letting on.
LIMPING TO THE FINISH:
Every year it is the same thing - August rolls around and the Orioles go in the tank. If there a team out there with a worse record after Aug. 1st I haven't seen it. Pretty soon they will be accused of an NBA style end of year dive job just to get higher draft picks. Oh well, I guess it beats the Ravens, who really seem to be limping to the START!
