Anyone remember that classic sketch on the old Saturday Night Live?
"Wow, that's terrific bass!"
It involves a fish, a blender and Dan Akroyd's sales pitch. Trust me, it's funny.
Anyway, Brian Bass has floundered (sorry) in the fifth inning as a starter. He's got a 2-1 lead through the fourth tonight. This is a pivotal inning, as he tries to leave a solid impression on manager Dave Trembley and perhaps be considered for a spot in the rotation next spring instead of the bullpen.
well i think, that guthrie and waters has two of the slots taken....
and the way bass is looking tonight, he loks pretty good, but if the coached can work on d-cab more and keep him solid he might be taking a spot in the rotation next year.
but everything is still up in the air...im just hoping that brian and nick stay...we need them

Is it wrong that I have such little faith in our bullpen that I actually hope this game gets called so we can secure a win?
