Cam too conservative
The Ravens have a 6-3 lead, but twice now, they've had to settle for short Matt Stover field goals.
On the first Baltimore drive that ended in three points, offensive coordinator Cam Cameron let Joe Flacco take a couple shots to the end zone, but they couldn't convert. This time around, on a third and goal from the eight, Flacco handed the ball off to Willis McGahee, who came up two yards short.
I understand Cameron's thinking: with a rookie quarterback, in a tie game on the road, you don't want to force anything. The worst-case scenario would be if Flacco felt like he had to make a play, and turned the ball over.
But so far this season, Flacco has proven that he is a smart quarterback, and was wise enough to throw the ball away when no one was open on the previous play.
I would have liked to see Cameron roll Flacco out of the pocket and let him use that gun of an arm to take a shot for six.
Baltimore has the lead, yes, but they continue to get field goals instead of touchdowns, which will come back to bite them eventually.

Man, you were right... At the end of the day, when the going is decent - go for it, if you wait, you may not get that momentum back.
Flacco did really well, considering he's a rookie - for that matter, there are a good few non-rookie QBs whom have done worse against the Steeler "D" - let alone, on their turf.
Even if the Ravens don't make the playoffs, but Flacco continues to improve, this was a season well spent - look at Indy Manning's first year.
Forget that - NEVER look at Indy!
Anyway, it was an exciting game, and Flacco did okay... HEY, wasn't that first toss a Good TD? Sure looked like it was to me...
