CareFirst and the Nats K'S for Kids Program Will Present a Check for $25,000 to Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington
During a pre-game ceremony on Wednesday, September 24, CareFirst will present the
Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington with a check for $25,000 as part of their
CareFirst Commitment Program. CareFirst committed to donating $25 for each
strikeout by a Nationals pitcher in 2008 with a minimum donation of $25,000. During the
four years the Nationals have partnered with CareFirst, $100,000 has been donated
to various charities in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area through the
Nationals K's for Kids Program.

for Kids," said Gregory A. Devou, Executive Vice President and Managing Officer for
CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield. "This year, our partnership with the Washington
Nationals will provide critical support for very important community programs for kids
of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington. CareFirst's $25,000 contribution this
year extends the long held relationship CareFirst has shared with its community in the
District."
