Early impressions of Flacco
Ravens rookie quarterback Joe Flacco doesn't look like a nervous kid. Certainly not the way he directed the offense to the game's first touchdown.
Flacco completed 3 of 4 passes for 28 yards after Chris McAlister's interception at the Ravens' 6-yard line, followed by a 16-yard return. Flacco gets rid of the ball quickly, though he's had ample time to throw. He also kept the scoring drive alive with a 1-yard gain on third down that moved the chains and set up Mark Clayton's 42-yard touchdown run on a reverse.
The Ravens' offense getting fancy. Crazy stuff.
Flacco threw two blocks downfield to help spring Clayton. He already was a crowd favorite before kickoff. After one quarter, that certainly hasn't changed.
