Has Dmitri Young played his last game for the Nationals'?
Dmitri Young, who was recalled from rehab and reinstated last Tuesday, may not play again this season due to strained left hip.
Young injured himself running the bases while rehabbing with the Vermont Lake Monsters, short-season Single-A, of the New York Penn League. He was on a rehab assignment after missing 48 games while getting his Diabetes under control.
The 34-year old has only played in 50 games for the Nationals' this season and was on the disabled twice this season. The first time was due to a lower back sprain that caused him to miss 39 games..
It will be interesting to see what the Nationals' do with Young in the off-season. He is due to make $5 million, but he hasn't been able to stay healthy and he's not getting any younger. It won't be easy to trade him because of his salary and I'm not sure anyone would want him at that price, unless Washington eats part of the salary.
