Manny Acta talks about his favorite moment at Nationals Park this season
There have been a handful of memorable wins at Nationals Park this season; Ryan Zimmerman's walk-off homer to beat the Braves 3-2 on Opening Night. How about the two-run home run in the ninth that Wil Nieves hit against the Cubs to break a 3-3 tie? Or Elijah Dukes walk-off, two-run blast in the 10th to trump the Cardinals in the second game of a doubleheader on June 5th.
All of those games have a significant meaning in the minds and hearts of the Nationals and their fans, but the one that has the most meaning to manager Manny Acta occurred on Sunday June 29th against the Orioles in the final game of the home-and-home series with their Beltway rival.
Manny told me why that was more special than any other game at the new ballpark.
