Melvin Mora and Orioles Reach Host Baseball Equipment Collection Event at Local High School on September 25
3B MELVIN MORA will visit Reservoir High School in Howard County to collect new and gently used baseball and softball equipment donations for youth in need on Thursday, September 25 from 5-7 p.m. The public is invited to bring baseball and softball equipment including bats, balls, uniforms, cleats, bases and trophies for donation.
This year, Mora and the Melvin Mora Foundation have teamed with OriolesREACH and the Oriole Advocates' Cardboard to Leather program, a program which provides baseball equipment to disadvantaged youth in other countries, to collect, ship and distribute baseball and softball equipment to Venezuelan youth in need.
Earlier this year on July 26, OriolesREACH, the Melvin Mora Foundation, the Oriole Advocates' Cardboard to Leather program and Legg Mason hosted an equipment collection night at Oriole Park. Donations collected at Camden Yards will be combined with donations from Legg Mason, other community collection events and individual donations.

3B MELVIN MORA will assist youth from Aberdeen Freestate Challenge Academy and the Oriole Advocates in organizing, labeling, weighing and packing equipment donations in preparation for shipment at the Runners Inc. Warehouse this Saturday, September 27, from noon - 1:00 pm. The Runners Inc. Warehouse is located at 2930 Washington Boulevard in Baltimore.
More than 1,800 youth in Nicaragua received equipment through the Oriole Advocates' Cardboard to Leather equipment collection program last year. Reservoir High School is located at 115500 Scaggsville Road in Fulton, Md.
