Orioles Fan Appreciation Weekend Activities
In thanks for their support throughout the 2008 season, the Orioles invite fans to a final series filled with fun and prizes during Fan Appreciation Weekend at Oriole Park this Friday-Sunday, September 26-28. Fans will be randomly selected during each of the final games to win unique prizes and experiences including the following:
FIRST PITCH - Fans will be selected at random to throw out the ceremonial first pitches on Saturday and Sunday, September 27-28.
FANS TAKE THE FIELD - Lucky fans will be selected to take the field with an Orioles player for the National Anthem on Friday and Sunday, September 26 and 28.
FIREWORKS NIGHT - A fireworks display presented by Bank of America will follow the game on Friday, September 26.
FAN APPRECIATION SOUTHWEST VOUCHER GIVEAWAY - Fans will be randomly selected to stand on the Orioles dugout and receive a pair of Southwest Airlines roundtrip airfare vouchers good for anywhere Southwest flies on Friday-Sunday, September 26-28.
FAN OF THE GAME CONTEST - During each game, the Orioles will select a fan that demonstrates true Orioles spirit to be named 'Fan of the Game.' Throughout the weekend, winners will receive prizes including 13-game, 29-game and full-season ticket plans for 2009 and free subscriptions to MLB.TV Premium for the 2009 Major League Baseball regular season.
SHIRTS OFF OUR BACKS - Fans will be randomly chosen to go on-field to receive 'the shirt off the back' (a game worn and autographed jersey) of an Orioles player.
2008 ORIOLES TEAM PHOTO GIVEAWAY - The first 10,000 fans attending each game during the homestand will receive a commemorative 2008 Orioles Team Photo and 2009 schedule at the gates of Oriole Park.
AND MORE - Fan Appreciation Weekend activities also include a weekend SILENT AUCTION on the main concourse at Gate D benefiting The Orioles Charitable Foundation; STEAL THE BASES CONTESTS, on Friday and Saturday (September 26-27) in which fans race to win autographed game-used bases; and Orioles players throwing AUTOGRAPHED BASEBALLS into the stands at the conclusion of Sunday's game.
