The lineup
The Orioles seem convinced that they'll play tonight. The tarp came off briefly so the water could be drained and the grounds crew could apply a drying compound to the mound and batter's box, but it's back in place.
Manager Dave Trembley won't meet with reporters until 5:50 p.m., much later than his usual 4:10 p.m.
Here's the lineup for the Orioles:
Brian Roberts - 2B
Lou Montanez - DH
Nick Markakis - RF
Ramon Hernandez - C
Kevin Millar - 1B
Adam Jones - CF
Oscar Salazar - 3B
Jay Payton - LF
Juan Castro - SS
Daniel Cabrera - P
Shameless plug alert:I'll be appearing on O's Xtra, the MASN pre-game show, around 6:40 p.m.

Is Huff hurt?

With Johnson being shut down for the year, maybe it is worth considering him as a starter for 2009. I know I've seen certain guys converted to relieving from starting because they can't sustain their stuff over more than a couple of innings, or because they cannot withstand the workload. I've also seen pitchers converted the other way because they can't physically handle pitching in 60 games a year, not to mention a bunch of bullpen sessions. They are better equipped physically to pitch once every five days. Johnson looked to be fairly healthy every year until this year. He was a starter every year except this year. Is it a coincidence? How can you make that determination? I suppose Johnson himself is the only person who may really know. At least I hope he does, and that he communicates his thoughts to the coaching staff.
Can Huff come back as a starting pitcher?
