Roch, they're wearing you thin, man. More O's notes, less TV production time. We're already watching MASN. It's the blog that needs to provide saturation coverage. I knew this would happen.

I'm a little confused. You knew what would happen? I'm not filing enough entries? Man, don't let that get out. Not sure I can work more than seven days a week. - Roch

My plea to the Baltimore Sports Media. Will someone please ask Dave Trembley why he insists on playing guys with no future on this team next year or in the future (Millar, Payton), over Lou Montanez (double A triple crown winner). What is the point of bringing him to the majors if he's not going to be given an opportunity to prove his numbers can translate to major league ptiching. There are not many reasons to watch this team in September especially if the guys who can contribute are left riding the pine.

Roch,
How close will the 2009 starting lineups be to this?

I don't see Montanez being the starting left fielder, though if he's the fourth outfielder, depending on the pitching matchup, maybe he gets the nod in Game 1. Also, I wouldn't look for Terrero or Nettles on the bench, and all four might be somewhere else. Albers probably has a better chance of cracking the rotation than Waters. Bergesen probably will be in Triple-A. I'd have to assume the Orioles will sign a veteran starter, so maybe one of those spots can be reserved for TBA. I like the effort you put into your roster. Good idea. Maybe others will do the same. I'll suggest it. - Roch

I agree they should have let Lou continue to play at AA to improve. He is learning how to play the outfield and we see he can hit. Also, on the good side he is getting the best coaching from the crow.

I have to agree with Ryan. And yes, folks, I'm back today.

Why doesn't Trembley play Montanez more often? More like everyday? The waiver deadline is over now. We don't need to showcase Payton anymore.

Or is Trembley's mind stuck in the National League where he needs to substitute Lou for a pinch runner or defensive purposes?

C'mon - let Lou play! let Lou play everyday!

And..... on another note, can you find out what Trembley said to the pitchers in that special meeting today, Roch?

Roch,

About your addition to the comment regarding Lou as a 4th outfielder next year. Personally, I don't see any way that Lou can't be the starting left fielder next year if he can continue to hit like he has. Granted his fielding has been weak but he has significantly more upside than Luke Scott. His fielding will come along with time but a 26 year old who has proven (sort of) that he can hit has far more right in the starting lineup than any of are other options. Let Luke DH and eventually Reimold can work his way up as a 4th outfielder. If the way he DOMINATED AA is any indication of what he can do then it would be moronic to let him play every 3rd or 4th day on a rebuilding team.
