Thundering Herd look for revenge over Mountaineers after 48-23 thumping last season
This year's intrastate matchup is in Morgantown, home of the Mountaineers, as West Virginia battles the Marshall Thundering Herd.
West Virginia (1-2) has had a disappointing start to this season, losing two consecutive games to unranked opponents. Head Coach Bill Stewart leads his team into their second game against a conference opponent. Hopefully this turns out better than the 24-3 thumping delivered by then-unranked East Carolina.
Marshall is entering this game on a more positive note. The Thundering Herd (3-1) is coming off of a conference win against Southern Mississippi.
Marshall is seeking revenge on their in-state rival after suffering a 48-23 defeat at the hands of the Mountaineers last year.
Catch the intrastate battle on MASN at 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
