What's going on with Erbe
ESPN.com now is reporting that the Ravens have signed former Vikings and Saints quarterback Todd Bouman to a one-year deal - and have scheduled Earl Morrall for a tryout early next week.
Keep throwing enough names out there and you're bound to get it right.
The Orioles are placing four Single-A Frederick players on a taxi squad for the Eastern League players: pitchers Brandon Erbe and Ryan Ouellette, infielder Miguel Abreu and outfielder Paul Winterling.
A team official explained that if a Double-A Bowie player is injured during the playoffs, he can be replaced by another player at the same position.
Erbe was scratched from yesterday's start for the Keys in case he's needed to start for the Baysox. Otherwise, he'll just do some throwing on the side.
Incredibly exciting day in Baltimore sports. ESPN again wrongly reports the Ravens signed a backup quarterback (apparently no deal is one yet). Erbe gets promoted, but not really. Oscar Salazar gets the start at 3B in Boston. At least that one is true. I'm glad to see Millar sitting. He should only be a pinch hitter the rest of the way. Time to play Montanez every day.

Bring them up!
Let them show us what they can do in this final month. After all, it's more time for them to get their seasoning, and experience what it's like to be in "the Show". If Trembley is gonna do the committee by bullpen, I'm sorry, but the bullpen is already ineffective due to the starters!
Dave Trembley - hear me - call-up the Bowie starters and let them perform for us. Don't say they're young and inexperienced, our starters at the Major League level are too. So don't use these excuses.
Call them up next week or so. We need to see new faces!
