Haltime thoughts as we're tied at 3
Here are some quick-hit thoughts as the Ravens and Titans are tied at 3 at the half:
- These defenses, and front-sevens in particular, are very very good. They get after the quarterback and have been great at getting the quarterbacks out of their comfort zones. With that said, I don't know if either of these teams could score if the defenses took the second half off. This has been a brutal first 30 minutes from an offensive perspective.
- On that note, this game has had no flow to it whatsoever. 14 penalties in 30 minutes will do that. The Ravens need to keep their heads and stop committing silly personal fouls.
- Chris Johnson is really fast. We heard all week how fast the Titans' running back is (he runs the 40 in 4.24), but when you see him in person, his speed just jumps out at you. He only has 32 yards on the ground in the first half, but he got really close to breaking a big one a couple times.
- Baltimore needs to shore up their special teams. They've allowed an average of 38.5 yards on two kickoff returns and gave up a 33 yard punt return as well.
