McAlister, Rolle to sit again
| | Comments (0)

Both starting corners will be on the sidelines again on Sunday, as Chris McAlister's knee injury is still an issue, and Samari Rolle has not fully recovered from neck surgery.

There's no new word on McAlister's status for the remainder of the season, but because of his lack of practice time this week, head coach John Harbaugh esentially ruled him out for this weekend's game against the Browns. As for Rolle, he's been wearing a red "no contact" jersey this week, and although Harbaugh said he's pleased with Rolle's progress, he doesn't think the corner is comfortable with getting back on the field on Sunday.

Both corners are officially listed as doubtful, but we won't be seeing either of them against the Browns.

That will leave Fabian Washington and Frank Walker as the two corners in the starting lineup for the third straight week. The F.W duo played a solid game last Sunday against the Raiders, but will have a more difficult task this weekend when they face Braylon Edwards and the Browns.

Walker is listed as questionable witha thigh injury, but expect him to play.

On a more positive note, both Jared Gaither and Adam Terry are listed as questionable and could be available at the offensive tackle position despite being limited in practice this week. Gaither suffered a stinger in his neck on Wednesday and hasn't practiced since, but Harbaugh said that he should be fine to play on Sunday.

Terry has missed the last three games after having arthroscopic surgery on his left knee, but he returned to practice this week. He was limited in the practice sessions, but Harbaugh said he thinks Terry has a good chance to play. His return would give the Ravens some options, especially on the right side of the line, with Willie Anderson playing well but Chris Chester having some minor issues at right guard.

Terry could spell Anderson, or could bump Chester out of the lineup and slot in at guard. Terry has joked that his only experience at the guard spot is when he inserted himself there while playing Madden, but the coaches like his versatility and seemed to feel comfortable putting him at guard before he had the surgery a few weeks ago.

Other injury notes for the Ravens:

Safety Dawan Landry (neck) and tight end Daniel Wilcox (thigh) will miss Sunday's game. Running back Willis McGahee was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable.

Tight end Todd Heap (neck), running back Le'Ron McClain (ankle) safety Ed Reed (shoulder/neck), wide receiver Yamon Figurs (knee) and Brendon Ayanbadejo (ankle) are all listed as probable.

For the Browns, starting fullback Lawrence Vickers is probable, while defensive end Corey Williams, wide receiver Donte Stallworth and safety Sean Jones, among others, are all questionable.
