Oriole farmhands carrying load today
The Surprise Rafters are leading the Peo Saguaros, 4-1, in the third inning in an Arizona Fall League game, and two Orioles prospects have come up big.
Nolan Reimold stroked a two-run double in the first inning to give Surprise a 2-0 lead, and Brandon Snyder led off the second inning with a home run to left field, his first since joining the Rafters.
Reimold later grounded into a double play and is batting .167. He's starting in left field again today. Snyder, playing first base, is hitting .625.
Catcher Matt Wieters has the day off.

re: Shmuck roast suggestions -
I always liked this one:
Peter makes SO many errors in his game analysis and even reporting. I asked him one time, "Peter, what makes you so error-prone? Is it ignorance? Or apathy?"
And he told me, "I don't know, and I don't care!"
Hey Roch,
Do you think the O's will give Reimold a fair shot to make the team out of ST? He's 25 and has proved all he could in the minors.
Would love to see them sign Tex, trade Huff for a young 3B or SS, and split Scott/Reimold at LF and DH.

I'd say he's a long shot to make the team out of spring training. He's more likely to start out in Triple-A, and his play will dictate how quickly he reaches the majors. - Roch
Ladies, don't worry, it's not true what they say about Peter. He doeasn't have half of those STD's. That's one I used the other day, use it if you'd like.
Re: Schmuck
In his early days to make ends meet he got the job as mascot for the Hippo because he was they only candidate for the job who didnt need to wear a fuzzy costume. . .(wait to deliver the punchline) . . . And he is still wearing the colorful wardrobe he put together from the lost and found box there!
