Ready for some football
Can't get enough of me? Rather than seek counseling, as I would, check out this site.
I'm heading to the Ravens game, and I'm expecting the home team to knock Tennessee from the ranks of the unbeaten. I just don't have much faith in Kerry Collins, and not only because of Super Bowl XXXV.
It will be interesting, though, to have two teams battling that are almost mirror images of each other. Win with defense and the ground game. Don't ask your quarterback to do too much. Just have him manage the game. And please send another check to Trent Dilfer, who's entitled to the royalties each time his name is connected to that philosophy.
The Titans are averaging 305 yards a game, 22nd in the league. They also average 168.5 passing yards, 23rd in the league.
Get them down early and make them try to catch up.
Collins has constantly been reminded of his Super Bowl meltdown, when he was 15-for-39 for 112 yards and four picks. His 7.1 passer rating was the second-lowest in Super Bowl history behind Craig Morton's 0.0 in 1978.
And if anyone can explain how a passer rating is computed, I'll all ears.

The article talked about traffic jumping when you joined MASN. I thought traffic jumped when I joined the fantasy camper roster.
Very nice article... hard to believe it's been nearly 3 years since the blog began. Wow!
you mentioned in part I of the article that people came back because you got in on the ground floor. which i'm sure is true. but what you didn't mention is that your blog was and still is the best source of discussion of the Orioles during the *off-season*. you started up right around the time of the winter meetings, didn't you?
i just remember that during the winter of 2005/2006, your blog truly made it more bearable to be without the boys on the field. let's do it again in 2008/2009. :)
Here's the Wikipedia page for passer rating: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Passer_rating
It looks complicated (and I know you're a words guy, not a numbers guy), but it's pretty simple: find four numbers, divide by six and multiply by 100.
Hope that helps.
