Gameday superstitions & rituals with Adam Terry
Offensive tackle Adam Terry has missed the last three games with a meniscus tear in his left knee, but might be back on the field against the Browns. He had arthroscopic surgery to fix the problem, and head coach John Harbaugh said that there's a "good chance" that Terry will be ready to go later today.

I talked with Terry before the team left for Cleveland and told me he's feeling good, and is excited to get back out there.
We also discussed his gameday routine, any superstitions he has, and how he gets himself prepared for a game.
After you wake up on a gameday, what's your routine like? Do you go about your morning the same way every Sunday?
"I usually wake up at 3:00 in the morning, run a two mile jog. (Laughing) No, I sleep as late as I feel comfortable, maybe 8:00. You know, get a good night's rest in. If it's a 1:00 game, get stretched, get some work on the body, training room stuff.
"Then from there, just go get a good bite to eat. Not really too picky with what I eat, usually it's eggs and a steak or something like that. Oatmeal...something that's not going to spike your glycogen too high, but keep at an even, steady burn during the game. From there, just get dressed back up, head over to the stadium, and let it roll."
Are you big on music? Do you always have something playing on your way to the stadium or right before a game?
"I've had different experiences with music. Sometimes I get a little superstitious, and if I play a really good game, then I stop listening to music if I wasn't listening to music before that game. But if I'm listening to a song and I play a really good game, if it was a CD, it would be burned out. But the iPod is a fantastic thing."
Do you have a favorite? Something you stick with every week?
"Usually I'll listen to...my favorite thing is The Last of the Mohicans. There's just some personal history there -- where James Fenimore Cooper wrote about is where I live. So I listen to "The Ascent" I think it's called. It's no words, just all instrumental."
Once you head out on the field for the first time, what's going through your head? Are you really pumped up, or are you more calm?
"This year I haven't really gone out early or anything like that, but when I get out there for warmups and everything with the team -- the first pop gets me ready. You get a good first pop, and then your first pass set, you know, when you're going against your own D-line. First pass set. I can tell if I'm going to have a good day or if I'm going to need to adjust something. If a guy beats me during that, then I'm like 'Hey, what happened here?' and then you go through a new thought process instead of just 'Boom, let's roll.'"
So you can tell right off the bat if you're going to have a good game based on how you feel in warmups?
"Well...nah, I guess it sounds good in theory. But I just try to get into a good mindset. If you get a good first pop -- a lot of our O-line guys don't like going against me because I'll just take it out on them with the first pop. Then once we get over to the defense, mainly Terrell [Suggs] or Trevor [Pryce], mainly Trevor this year, but if you get a good set, your feet are feeling good, then you're pretty comfortable going out there."
