MASN Partners With The Junkies on Exclusive Sports Blog
|

Popular sports radio hosts join MASNsports.com

MASN, the local leader in live sports entertainment, has launched an exclusive Junkies Blog, featuring 106.7 WJFK's top-rated morning show. The Junkies will be blogging daily on MASNsports.com, providing their insightful and irreverent take on the biggest regional and national sports stories to fans across the area.

The Junkies Blog will be a forum to highlight the best in Washington sports - from the Nats and Caps to the Redskins and Wizards - as well as the biggest national sports stories. The blog will be featured on a fully interactive platform allowing fans and listeners to interact with the Junkies on the Washington-Baltimore region's most robust online sports platform, MASNsports.com.

The Junkies, John Martin "Cakes" Auville, Eric Carlton "E.B." Bickel, Jason William "Lurch" Bishop and John-Paul "J.P." Flaim, grew up together in the Maryland suburbs. They started a cable access show covering sports and pop culture in Bowie, MD in 1995. They rose to fame after joining WJFK in 1996 and ten years later filled the morning drive slot left vacant by the departing Howard Stern Show. Known for their entertaining and conversational style, they recently debuted in Talkers Magazine's Heavy 100 at #100.

In addition to their popular morning radio show, the Junkies host events throughout the D.C. area and broadcast a special football pre-game show on 106.7 WJFK. The Junkies can be heard Monday through Friday on Washington's Talk Superstation, 106.7 WJFK-FM from 5 a.m. until 10 a.m.

Featuring the sports musings of one of Washington's most popular sports talk radio shows, MASNSports.com provides extensive online coverage of the Washington Nationals, Baltimore Orioles, Baltimore Ravens and dozens of NCAA programs with dedicated beat writers, talent and player blogs, Roch Kubatko's School of Roch, up to the minute video clips, series previews, live game blogs and more.

106.7 WJFK-FM features a live and local lineup of high profile personalities including the Junkies, Big O and Dukes, and the Mike O'Meara Show. WJFK is also the Washington, D.C. home of the Jim Rome Show, Maryland Terps football and basketball, University of Virginia Basketball, and the Washington Capitals 2008 playoff run.
