Ravens team with O's for 'Holiday Helpers'
Ravens quarterback Kyle Boller, wide receiver Derrick Mason and cornerback Samari Rolle will join Orioles pitchers Brian Burres, Chris Ray and Dennis Sarfate Thursday at the Target store in Pikesville for the 4th annual "Holiday Helpers" event.
The players will be helping 100 underprivileged children with their holiday shopping from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the store, which is at 1737 Reisterstown Road.
Mason and Rolle always do a great job of contributing in the community, and it's great to see Boller continue his extensive work with those less fortunate despite his uncertain future with the Ravens.
The O's players, along with former Orioles Rick Dempsey, Dave Johnson, Scott McGregor, Larry Sheets and Bill Swaggerty, will also participate in the Orioles' Annual Children's Christmas Party earlier in the day. They will host 90 kindergarden through second graders from Graceland Park Elementary School and play games and sign autographs for the kids.
