Suggs involved in another 'bounty' situation
Terrell Suggs and the word "bounty" were linked again today at Ravens headquarters, but it was in a much more light-hearted manner this time around.
A couple months back, Suggs drew the ire of the NFL by going on an Atlanta-area radio show and saying that the Ravens had a bounty on Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward. The sound bite was picked up by all the national sports shows and Sizzle drew a stern warning from the league.
Today, after his weekly press conference, Suggs was presented with the 2008 Ravens Media Good Guy award. As you might expect, the award is voted on by the local media and given to the player that is the most accessible throughout the season.
As a prize, The Sun's Jamison Hensley handed Suggs a roll of Bounty paper towels.
Sizzle seemed genuinely happy, raising the roll up in the air and giving a mock acceptance speech.
It wasn't until about 10 minutes later, in the Ravens' locker room, that Suggs put two-and-two together and realized that the "Bounty" brand was in reference to his comments about Ward.
I'm not sure if he thought that the winner each year gets a roll of paper towels, but regardless, it was good to see Suggs so happy about taking home the award.

Aw man! Where's the audio of his realization?

Tom,
It wasn't an interview setting, so I didn't have my audio recorder going when he finally figured it out. Wish I did though, because he kinda let loose. The whole thing was pretty funny; as I said, great to see him react so positively about it.
